The Uwharrie National Forest, encompassing over 50,000 acres across North Carolina's Montgomery, Davidson, and Randolph counties, is the smallest of the four national forests in the state, but offers a rich diversity of outdoor activities. Hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and campers can all find adventure amidst the Uwharrie Mountains, scenic rivers, and cascading waterfalls.
