Signs.
Signs.. They pop in and can kick you in the face at the most random times letting you know what's important and what's not. A single happening can show a dude the ropes in a way that was apparent all along. Shit can change in a second.
Heart.. Some have it, some don't.
Hard Work.. I was taught to do it every day of my life.
Life.. it's weird. It's complicated. It's amazing and creative.
Ya see... I've spent the past 3 weeks away from my everything. Away from my home, away from my routine, and away from it all.
Not by choice but by what is the right thing to do. I've been by my Dad's side since the day he needed me most.
On August 10, 2023, my Dad's heart stopped twice.
He was revived twice.
He was on life support for 3 days and the future was uncertain.
He had crucial surgery and was eventually released with a 6 week plan of recovery. Doctor's orders were to have someone by his side at all times and there's a long road ahead.
My place of employment for the past 6 months simply could not accommodate my continuance of remotely working due to a newly implemented "Return To Work" policy released, oddly enough, the day of my Dad's surgery. The "only option" was to take a 6 week leave of absense. UNPAID.
No. Hell no. There is no scenario where going unpaid for 6 weeks was going to work. It's disheartening and frankly absurd to have such a garbage option.
I resigned yesterday.
I have put 100% of my eggs in the freelance creative basket and have been pounding the pavement.
Again, the right thing to do was to be here and to help so I am and in doing so, I have found myself with a LOT of time to do even more rad shit remotely.
So, here I am, wide-ass open and ready to take on additional projects as I have done for nearly 9 years on my own, freelance, remotely for anyone, anywhere from anywhere.
From the fishing and content side of things, I am knocking out some super cool stuff with Howler Brothers ⚡️, YETI, TFO Rods - Temple Fork Outfitters, and Simms Fishing Products so stay tuned on that! Going to be SUPER rad.
